Laugh your ego into enlightenment!

Your ego will travel with you on this earth,
And be your companion for worser or worse,
It pretends it's your friend, your bestest amigo,
And it pours on the guilt, that's the mark of the ego.

It wants to protect you, to help you be strong,
So it must keep reminding you everything's wrong,
You're lazy, you're weak, and you don't have a clue,
That's your drill sergeant ego trying to motivate you!
The ego wants you to be all you can be,
So it gives you these pep talks all day and for free,
Oh, the places you'll go and the guilt trips you'll travel,
As the ego plays judge and bangs down on its gavel.

But you always can get some relief from your shame,
By projecting it on to the others you'll blame,
For that is the ego at its beastiest best,
It nurses its grievances close to its chest.
Republicans, liberals, your parents, your ex,
The world is just teeming with folks to correct,
If only these fools would conform to your ways,
You could get on with life without further delays.

The ego keeps finding new gripes to complain about,
Turns molehills to mountains of yikes! to feel pain about,
Sometimes the ego's stuff makes you so stuffy,
You come down with a cold or an ouchy more roughy.

But there's no time for rest so get up out of bed!
If you're just here and now then you won't get ahead,
Your to-do list must buzz like the bees when they're busying,
Keep filling your days till they're endlessly dizzying.

Oh, the places you'll go and the people you'll see,
All through the lens of “What's in it for me?”
For the ego believes there is something it lacks,
And until it is found it won't let you relax.
Perhaps you will find it in the next one you date,
True love at first sight with a soul kind of mate,
The romance is hot till the climate turns cold,
Cause when two halves combine they do not make a whole,
It's fine till the love gets obscured by control,
Cause when two halves collide they cannot make a whole.

So the ego moves on ever constantly striving,
Addicted to seeking and afraid of arriving,
You're traveling fast at the speed of surviving,
With fear in the drivers seat doing the driving.
No trust is a must you must always be worried,
No peace till deceased you must always be hurried,
The joys of each moment go swishing on by,
As the ego keeps reaching for pies in the sky.
Groping and grasping with arms that are flailing,
(And the ego loves giving you F for your failings!)

Or perhaps you are on the fast track of success,
You're constantly driven to be great, better, best!
You're a mover, a shaker, a big time achiever,
You're a real self-made man, a dazzling diva.
You're rich and you're famous and make quite a splash,
You're on top of the world and you're rolling in cash,
You drive the right car and you've married the right spouse,
Today lunch with Oprah, tomorrow the White House.

But at night insecurity pays you a call,
Cause you know anytime that you could lose it all,
Your shrink says to rest and your spouse sure agrees,
Your doctor says, “Ulcers, take fourteen of these.”
You know you should slow it down sooner or later,
But your foot is just glued to the accelerator.

Your ego consoles, “Well, at least we're successful,
It's a sign of success to be constantly stressful,
You've made it to prime time and everyone loves you”
But your self-esteem's based on what others think of you.
And opinions can change in the blink of an eye,
Which is why you need meds just to sleep and get by.

One day when you've failed and succeeded enough,
You witness your ego exposed in the buff,
And you realize without all its protective clothing,
That the ego is simply a state of self-loathing.
And beyond that you find out the biggest of deals,
That you've dreamt up the ego, it's not even real!
So for richer, for poorer, in all kinds of health,
You commit to the journey of loving yourself.
You release the projections you placed upon others,
And find through forgiveness that peace is discovered,
You realize the love that you searched for outside you,
Is what you are made of and can't be denied you.
So you let go your worries, your plans, and your pills,
Put some logs on the fire and learn how to chill,
Your old superstitions have gone up in smoke,
(Like you can't rest in peace until after you croak.)
You no longer fear death or for that matter life,
Cause you know that all matters are safe and all right.

While resting in peace you will soon be inspired,
To go out in the world with some newfound desires,
Desires that spring from your heart and your soul,
And wherever they take you you're going there whole.
Cause your ego is now in the passenger seat,
It rolls down the window and takes in the treats,
You're not in a hurry you're taking it slow,
Cause the journey's as rich as the places you'll go.
Where you are going you don't need to know,
For the journey's as rich as the places you'll go.

How Do You Know The Voice of God?

How do you know when God is speaking to you or if it is just a fleeting thought, your ego or someone else’s voice echoing in your head?

When I say the voice of God…you may think of the “still small voice” deep within your heart and I agree. It is in the silence that God is able to speak to us. That is why my time in mediation is so important. When I go to that place of peace and quite it is easier to hear God’s voice. It is my ego that that likes noise….and it wants to make a lot of noise within my head to keep me distracted…my ego does NOT understand God.

Here is the secret to knowing the voice of God. It is based upon your personal relationship with God through the Holy Spirit within your heart….the secret is…KNOW HIS NATURE!

What do I mean? To know the nature of God…means knowing what He is and knowing what He is NOT! For example…if you KNOW that God is love…then it is NOT God’s nature to hate anything.

Many Christians will say…”It is NOT the voice of God if the message is NOT found in the Bible.” And I say…that may be true but God speaks to me with words and messages that are far beyond those found in the Bible. The voice of God is personal for me and it has to be personal for you. Read 1 Corinthians 2:9-10.

I can hear the voice of God as He speaks through another person but it MUST resonant with my heart and my spirit…otherwise it means nothing to me. Beating someone over the head with Bible scriptures will not work…one must hear the message within their heart and mind.

Getting To Know God

It is the Holy Spirit’s job to reveal to you the nature of God. Open your heart…ask the Holy Spirit to teach you…as you learn and know the nature of God…you will know the voice of God for He wants to speak to your heart and give you guidance. Read John 16:13-15.

Today there are many voices who claim to be the voice of God. Use wisdom and love to discern the voice of God for your life and He will guide you and keep you in the light of His truth.

Apathy vs. Neutrality

Some would say these two words mean the same….but do they?

In war….one would give you life….the other would result in death.

If you want to end a war then both sides must surrender and agree upon a peaceful state of neutrality. If you are apathetic about it then war could continue and you could eventually become a victim of war yourself.

Some would say the word “Neutrality” represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction. On the surface it may appear that way but I say neutrality are NOT the same. Neutrality is NOT indifferent…for it’s aware of the battle and it cares. Apathy sees the battle but it does not care nor does it hold any convictions. Neutrality conviction is to learn how to accept “What Is” and not react out of fear or aggression. Apathy is motivated by fear. Therefore it chooses denial and indifference to protect itself.

To be Neutral requires one to awaken….to be courageous…to raise your consciousness and open you heart and accept the truth. To do so…you must turn all the fear within your heart into the wisdom of love.

Neutrality recognizes the positive and negative force…it sees and understands how each plays their role. But Neutrality’s conviction is to hold onto peace and yet NOT judge or take sides with in the battle…instead let the battle fulfill its purpose….knowing that the end will result in peace.

How do you know the battle will end in peace? All of creation emanates from peace.

Therefore Neutrality puts its trust in the divine order of all things.

Neutrality’s intention is to bring about peace. It sees the big picture. Its purpose is to bring balance in the tension between the two opposing polls of positive and negative. If you choose to fight against the negative then you are giving power to it. The battle rages within the tension brought about when the two forces oppose one another.

But by holding on to the consciousness of peace through neutrality you will send forth vibrations into the universe which will bring about peace. You do this by recognizing the oneness of all things…then you produce healing by asking for forgiveness on behalf of the battle and give thanks for it. Forgiveness and gratitude is the key to Neutrality.

Jesus said, “May peace be with you; my peace I give to you: I give it not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled; let it be without fear.” John 14:27

To Worship God

How do you worship God? How would you describe your time of worship?

Most people say they worship God through prayer and by reading the word….and I would agree but that is only the beginning of worship.

The Greek word for worship is a verb…therefore it is an action word. It is what you do to show your adoration. It is inspired through your personal relationship with God. Just as like the relationships with other people you express your feelings through action.

Our need to worship God is for our benefit....God does NOT need our worship...rather it is our hearts that need this close relationship with Spirit. Worship provides us with an intimate connection which reminds us of who we are and that we belong to Him.

It begins with love…which is an attitude of the heart…an emotional response to your thoughts and feelings. If you love someone…then it is only natural that you want to express your love.

So the next step is your turn your thoughts and feeling into words….which you express to the one you love. You may write them but it is more intimate to speak those words directly to the one you love.

The next action step is how you position yourself in respect to the one you love.

The most common is to be physically close….close enough to touch. If your relationship becomes physically intimate then your worship peaks as the two become one…physically, emotionally and spiritually.

The same applies to your relationship with God. If you love God then you will feel loved and you will be given a heart of great joy, peace and gratitude….which turns into words which you speak expressing your feelings…then you draw close to Spirit by positioning your whole being before God as you yield to Spirit…which is expressed in the physical in many ways….for example the bowing of your head, closing your eyes…but you can also lift up your head and open your heart with eyes open. You may lay face down, kneel, sit or stand with your hands folded or lifted high above your head. These are all actions of worship.

It all begins with an openness of your heart. When you consciously choose gratitude you will quickly open your heart to God’s love and it vibration within your soul. Your spirit will soar and it may feel as though you are floating off the ground.

You may choose to worship God through a ritual but what I have just described to you is NOT a ritual but an act of love…inspired by a personal relationship with God through the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus was asked how and where we are to worship God...He said, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24

What He meant was true worship is NOT a ritual…it is an attitude of the heart.

So when you come together with others to worship God it is a celebration of love. Together you may lift your hands, shout, sing and even dance as an act of love as the Spirit of the God moves upon you and through you and you become one in the spirit.

If you have never experienced this kind of worship I encourage you to first do it at home just between you and God…and then find a place where you can experience this kind of worship with others. It will bring you great joy!

The Purpose of Pain

Pain has a purpose…..it is to remind us of who we are.

“What?” You say...“How is it supposed to do that?”

Those who are unaware, it reminds of our human nature…those who are awakened, it reminds us that we spiritual beings having a human experience. Therefore we are press on into higher levels of consciousness to free ourselves from this pain.

If you are experiencing any form of pain and suffering then it serves you as a wake-up call to your true spirituality. Those who continue in pain and suffering have yet to understand its purpose.

Jesus said, “I have said all these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble: but take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33. The Greek word for “Trouble” means anguish, distress, oppression, tribulations. Jesus taught you too can overcome this world and all it troubling pain and live with peace in your heart.

Hear this deep dark secret? Some of you will have trouble accepting this...note I tell you this in love. Ready? You maybe un-aware of this….but you have chosen to experience your pain. Before you came into this world you knew what you were doing and yet you still came here…it was a choice of love.

Once you arrived you were given an ego which hides this truth from you. The purpose of the ego was to help you survive your journey into this world. The egos purpose is centered around you...it gives you the illusion that you are separated from Spirit and those around you.

When you began to experience the pain of this world you are motivated by love to seek your true self and discover why you are here. If you choose not to accept this love...then you continue to experience the pain…until you decided to accept it. This is the love of God.

Know this….every moment you experience any pain or suffering…alert yourself to move toward love and to learn how to use it press on into higher levels of consciousness...a deeper understanding of who you really are and the purposes of God in your life.

“Having made clear to us the secret of his purpose, in agreement with the design which he had in mind and purposed for himself. “ Ephesians 1:9

Be Enlightened

I find Christians often stumble over words like Enlightenment, Consciousness, “Your Higher Self” or “The Divine Within.” I know these words are used by other religions therefore Christians fear their use could lead one astray.

The truth is these words and their meaning are all found within the Bible. They may NOT be popular since they are words used to describe true spirituality vs. your average Church goer. They have a mystical sound to them and their meaning is often NOT understood correctly. But they are a part of true Christianity.

True Christianity is mystical to man’s egocentric mind. It does NOT understand the things of God. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that these things can be understood and experienced.

Listen to what Hebrews says about Enlightenment…Once you have been enlightened, tasted the gift of God, experienced the Holy Spirit and heard God speak to you…you will experience the powers of the world to come! Heb. 6:4-5 (paraphrased)

Without enlightenment through the gift of the Holy Spirit…you can NOT hear the voice of God nor will you know the power of God. It is this power that gives you freedom from the sin of your ego and its attachment to this world. Without this power...your Christianity is only dead doctrine and an intellectual religion.

When I became a Christian the power of the Holy Spirit hit me like a bolt of lightening. I knew it was God…I knew it was love. With this power I was set free and given a new heart.

Everyday I ask the Holy Spirit to open my eyes that I experience higher levels of consciousness through the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. Read Ephesians 1:18

The Greek word for enlightenment is: Photizo It means to give light or illuminate for a deeper understanding. Note this is where we get the English word “photo.”

In other words to be enlightened is to see the “Big Picture” to understand the purposes of God in all things.

Let go of your fears and ask God to enlighten you through the power of the Holy Spirit.

God's Unconditional Love

Do you believe in unconditional love?

Do you believe what it says in Romans 8:38-39? "I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love which Christ Jesus our Lord shows us. We can't be separated by death or life, by angels or rulers, by anything in the present or anything in the future, by forces or powers in the world above or in the world below, or by anything else in creation."

Is that how you would describe God’s love?

Jesus said in Like 6:35 that, “God is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.”

This is without condition…correct?

I believe that God’s love is unconditional for God is Love.

“Love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” 1John 4:7-8

The love of man is conditional…our ego only knows how to love when it gets what it wants. If you do NOT meet up to the ego’s conditions then it will no longer love you…this so contrary to God’s unconditional love.

Understanding unconditional love requires a higher level of consciousness and true spirituality. Otherwise we find the love of God very confusing.

Some so called "Christians" see God’s love as being conditional….and they are guilty of judging others in the name of God's love. How can this be?

When man projects the ego’s love upon another and calls it God’s love this is very confusing. This is NOT God's love!

Rather Jesus knew as is says in Romans 2:4 the goodness of God always leads you to align yourself with the things of God…without condition. Is that possible? Yes but only God knows how to do this....it is NOT our job to put conditions upon the love of God. Do you understand how this can be?

Ask God to give you this understanding and you will know unconditional love.

Are YOU to be Armed for Battle or Armed for Peace?

Most think of going into battle when they hear the words, “Put on your Armor.” That is what most Christians think when they read Eph. 6:11-18 which begins with “Put on the whole armor of God…” But is that what the Spirit of God is really saying….we must do battle?

If you carefully read those scriptures you will find…no where does it say we should do battle. Instead it says we are to take “Stand” against the devil. The Greek word for “stand” means to set or place in a balance. The armor of God protects you so you don’t have to fight or do battle with the devil….the battle has already been won. Colossians 2:15 says that Jesus openly disarmed the powers of darkness and in Hebrews 2:14 it says He destroyed the devil.

Notice the description of the armor of God is all about a work that has been done by and through Jesus. Your job is to watch and pray….verse 18.

Therefore we do NOT do battle but rather we stay neutral to “what is!” For the light of God’s love will shine into the darkness and expose the truth and the darkness has no power over it. Rejoice! Be at peace and fear not…for Jesus has won the battle for you.

Be Transformed!

You will be Transformed …Transfigured…Morphed…Changed!

You will become a new creation. It all begins NOW!

It says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if you choose to live in the Kingdom of God… then you will become a NEW CREATURE….what was old will pass away and all things will become NEW! This is the power of change…you’re given this power as a co-creation with the Spirit of God. It is a life changing experience.

When Jesus used the word, “Power” in Mark 9:1, “The kingdom of God comes with power.” That word in the Greek is the word “Dynamis” which is where we get the English word “dynamite!” It is the energy…the intensity…the might of God. That power comes from God within you. It is the same power that created all things. It is the same power that Peter, James and John saw come from within Jesus on the mount of transfiguration.

But do you really believe this? Can this be possible? How?

It is done by raising your consciousness to the truth of “What is!” How do you do that? You must be willing to open up your heart and your mind and allow this change to take place. I am talking about a spiritual transformation…the beginning of a physical transformation.

In Romans 12:2 it says this transformation happens through a process of “Renewing your mind” and by proving what is the perfect will of God. That means you allow the Holy Spirit to change your thinking….you test and experience the purposes of God. You open your heart to knowing God’s intentions, His character and His mind.

To “know“ God is to know and experience this power…it is the love of God. If you have not experienced the power of His love…then open your heart and ask for it.

It also says that you choose to no longer be conformed to this world…you let go of the attachments your ego has made with this world and embrace the things of God. It is the Holy Spirit’s job to reveal to you what exactly that is and He knows exactly how to remove those attachments as you yield to Him as described in verse one….”A living Sacrifice.”

What I have described to you is how you raise your consciousness. Your belief system will be transformed…your spiritual vision of “all things” will be altered. Your heart will be changed. You live and experience, think and behave differently. Note this is an inside job and it is NOT about restraining yourself from the world and being “Religious” but rather allowing the Holy Spirit to do this work from within you.

Do You Resist Evil?

Most Christians would teach…you should resist evil…but Jesus said in Matt 5:39, “Resist NOT evil...” What did Jesus mean by this? Doesn’t this appear to be contrary to what you have been taught by the Church?

Throughout history man has always battled with his enemies and if he didn’t have any enemies he would look for some, motivated by fear that if he did not protect himself he would die. It is the carnal nature of our ego’s to do so. Jesus also said in Luke 10:18-19, “…I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give to you power….over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

In Luke 9:1 it says that he gave his disciples power and authority over all devils. Today all followers of Jesus have power over the devils because of the work that Jesus completed here on earth. The battle is over...evil has no place in you. All you have to do is acknowledge the victory given to you by Jesus.

But instead of accepting victory Christians still want to do battle against Satan as though they have there own authority over him. They scream words of anger and control over the devil commanding him to obey them. This is once again an example of the ego thinking it possesses this power on its own.

God would rather we proclaim the work that has already been done speaking words of victory in love, freedom and gratitude.

Therefore when evil is exposed all you have to do is stay neutral…and claim the victory that has already been done. You don’t have to do battle with evil or the devil…if you do…you only give power to it. What you resist will persist.

Have you heard the saying what you resist, persists? This is not just a cliché. Quantum physics is demonstrating quite clearly…your thoughts give power to what ever you focus upon…therefore you cannot resist something without giving it your attention. In fact, when you resist something you are empowering it. If you push against something, by the natural law, you are giving it power and it will push back against you.

When you want to make changes in your life, make peace with "what is" and then choose what you prefer. Give attention to what you want rather than to what you don't want. Every time you complain or repeat the story about what you don't want, you are giving it power over you.

The Bible says Satan is the ruler of this world….BUT you are not of this world. Therefore be not conformed to this world…but be transformed by the renewing of your mind….read Romans 12:2.

Moving from Force into Power!

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force." Matthew 11:12 What did this mean?

First understand that the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God are the same thing. The Greek interpretation for the words "Suffer Violence" means: the use of force. The word "Violent" means: the strong and forceful. The word "Force" means: to seize. Therefore...what I believe this means is; until then the spiritual understanding of man...or the consciousness of mankind was controlled by violent or forceful thinking. It seized people's minds which I believe was an act of survival. Allow me to further explain....

The ministry of John the Baptist prepared the way of the Kingdom of God. In that moment in history...based upon our understanding of time...a major shift in consciousness had begun. It is was what I will call "Power verses. Force" as taught by Dr. David Hawkins.

Hawkins explains that "Force" is a lower vibration of energy that has to be constantly fed by more energy like a gas has to be fed into a car to make it run....but "Power" is like Free Energy which comes from within universe in a constant state of being...it does not have to be fed...it just is!

So the verse above is declaring that the consciousness of man's awareness was making a shift out of force the of darkness into the light of God's power.

Today the level of mankind's consciousness is collectively moving into the levels of Power which begins when man understands that he is NOT a victim, there is no one to blame for what is....we have to power to change what is into what we truly desire. It is at this moment we begin to release our attachments to this world and move into the Kingdom of God.

Non-Attachment???

How would you define Non-Attachment?

When I first became aware of this idea...I was a bit confused...and I could not properly define it.

I knew very little of the Eastern teachings on this subject...but I knew Jesus said, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." Matt. 16:24 Therefore, I thought Non-Attachment was all about "denial." It was not until in recent years that I understood that "Denial" and "Non-Attachment" are not the same thing!

I thought "deny" meant you were in a constant state of avoidance....to shun, refrain, or withdraw. This did not sound like joy to me...this sounded like a life without happiness. I did not understand the process. Denial is only the beginning of the process. This is why Jesus followed the word deny with "Pick up your cross and follow me."

What did that mean? It meant death and resurrection!

It meant death to my attachments... death to the power of my ego's attachments to this world.

The ego has it's purpose...it serves us well until we pass on into the next dimension. But it has been programed to attach it's self to this world...Why? For the purpose of survival.

Once you have been "born from above" and received the Holy Spirit, you now have the power to be freed from your attachments...until then you are a slave to your attachments and your ego has full control of you. The Holy Spirit's work is to free you from attachments. You do Not just avoid them...that alone creates suffering. You can actually be free from attachments as though they never existed.

The work of the Holy Spirit within you is is an on-going process of transformation. Through this process you are set free from your attachments. Read Romans 12:1-2. "...be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind..."

You move up through the higher states of spiritual being...higher states of consciousness...this is the kingdom of God within you. 2 Corinthians 3: 17-18 "...from Glory to Glory..."

The Difference Between Religion and “Spirituality”

To start, the reason why “spirituality” is in quotations is because there truly is no label for what I am trying to convey in this article. Also, there has been so much identification and many beliefs created within what some call “spirituality” that have really beaten the word to a new meaning. So as I continue, when I speak of “spirituality,” all I am really referring to is that beyond what we see in front of us, that which is our true essence. I am not referring to any belief system or set of beliefs within any structure.

Generally, we can come to a conclusion on something through a set of thoughts experienced within the mind, which is really nothing more than reading something or being told something and taking it as absolute truth based on that set of thoughts. This is a belief system – Religion. Or we can cease to make our thoughts our identity and remain much closer to our true essence, where we can see without blinders (the mind or set of thoughts) what we are experiencing.

Being religious is essentially an identity the ego grasps onto in order to keep itself fulfilled in a role it is choosing to play. Essentially, the ego now thinks that through thought, which is very limiting, it has found and experienced an absolute truth and in order to keep its identity alive, the very nature of “absolute,” will not allow it to “die.” Since the ego’s main goal is survival, it achieves this very easily by attaching to religion. (thinking, believing a set of thoughts)

It comes down to being locked up in the mind (thought and belief) vs. allowing the ego to not have an identity, not allowing the ego to strive to find a role it can latch onto. There is a general fear that we must BE something or know who we are and what we are about – “we” do not, only our ego does. When you recognize the awareness behind the labels and beliefs you have, you have found the consciousness or SELF behind the ego, showing you “spirituality” – that which lies beyond the false sense of self.

Now, I understand this is a touchy subject for where we are all collectively playing right now, but remember conflict will only come as a result of defense triggered in our minds (ego/reptilian) as it fights for survival because the information just presented was challenging. Use this experience and whatever emotions this article brings as a point of observation. Are you agreeing with it and feeling superior to others? Are you getting mad? Are you feeling some truth to it but are not quite there?

In any case, allow the feelings to be and don’t allow them to charge you. Take observation as to what presented for you. Are you limiting your experience by latching onto thought as absolute truth?

I wish to end this with a quote that came to mind that might spark something. It comes from a very fitting movie:

Discerning Good and Evil

Those who are spiritually mature...exercise their senses...they have trained themselves to see what is good and what is evil. Hebrews 5:14

I would like to define the words in this scripture by using the original Greek so you will know there true meaning....

The first few words of this scripture mean; "Those who have found the perfect state of all things."

This is a level of consciousness where you see everything in the big picture....you see the unity...the harmony of all that is. You know what the scripture means when it says, "All things work together for the good of them that love God, to them who are called according to his purposes. Rom 8: 28

How are you able to do this? You exercise your senses. The word "exercise" means a regular work out as an athlete would do to stay fit or prepare for a competition. The word "senses" means the minds ability to perceive, understand and discern "what is." It is your awareness.

The word "trained" means to make it a habit or practice to see meaning, to understand or distinguish the difference...

The meaning of the word "good" is beautiful, excellent, useful.

The word "evil" means destructive or troublesome.

Therefore this means if you are spiritually mature...you will posses a higher levels of consciousness...you will know how to discern what is Light and what is Darkness...what is Healthy and what is Unhealthy. This is all done without passing judgement or condemning the darkness...instead you use wisdom and the love of God.

Distractions!

Have you ever been distracted and missed something important? I know I have. It’s easy to get distracted when you don’t know what to stay focused upon.

As a magician and I know the art of creating distractions…yet I can still be fooled when watching other magicians if I don’t focused upon what I know to look for. Hey I am just like the other guy…I enjoy experiencing the magic…so I allow myself to be distracted.

But when I get distracted and I don’t stay focused upon things in life that are really important then I am not happy. Today’s world is full of distraction and it is getting worse.

Everything from the economy, earthquakes, volcanoes, the weather, news media, oil spills, politics, the government, and wars...they are all a distraction to what is really important.

Your spiritual growth...your awakening are the most important thing in this moment and it always will be. It important that you discover and fulfill your purpose here and now.

You say, “But this is the world I live in...how can I NOT be distracted by these things?”

I say, “If you stay focused upon your physical world then you never understand what is going on in the spiritual world.”

Jesus spoke that in the last days there will be wars and rumors of war, killings, betrayal, false prophets, famines, pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places, most importantly that the love of many would grow cold. Matt. 24:12

Jesus said when you see these things know the end of this world was near, verse 33…therefore it is important that we focus upon the spiritual...NOT the physical happenings.

It is so easy to get distracted by appearance of chaos and fear...but Jesus gave warning so you would stay focused upon “Who you are” and not react to the events as they unfold. Instead hold on to your love, peace and joy for that is the Kingdom of God.

You focus must be upon your “Being” not the “Doing.” So don’t get all caught up in trying to fix things or worry about what will happen next...I know this sound crazy...it may sound ill-responsible. But if you get caught up in all the distractions you will not be spiritually responsible as Jesus revealed in the parable of the Ten Virgins, Matt. 25:1-13.

Your focus is to be upon your purpose and how you can best serve others using your gifts and strengths. Note what Jesus said in the parable of the talents: Matt. 25:15, the master gave talents…”each according to his own ability.” What is your ability? Don’t hide it…put it to use, bless others and be blessed.

The world is on course...for you will see major changes within the next few years. If you have eyes to see you will already know what I am saying is true. Those of us who are awakened to the Spirit of God will experience the glory of what is to come....those who sleep will suffer greatly. Awake to righteousness and turn from sin...1 Cor. 15:34

Embrace the love of God and allow it to remove all fear. For God said, "Fear not for I am always with you..." Isaiah 41:10

“God has No Enemies!”

Can this be true? If God has no enemies then why does He not triumph over everything in this world....or does He?

The reason this is so confusing is….its all a part of the illusion of this world.

In the Kingdom of God there is no duality. In other words, there is no darkness only light. In the world you see both good and evil but in the Kingdom of God there no opposing power against God.

Its you who perceives the idea that God has His enemies. The truth is God has no enemies. Neither do you if you live in the Kingdom of God here on earth.

What is the Kingdom of God? How is it possible to live in the Kingdom and still be present here on earth?

Jesus said, “the Kingdom of God is within you!” Luke 17:21.

In Romans 14:17 it describes, “the Kingdom of God is…being right with God, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

So what is the Kingdom of God? It is a state of being….a state of consciousness…it is living in the truth. It is NOT a place in heaven some where far off. It is the power of God within you.

So does this mean you will not experience trouble while living in the world? Please understand the world its self is not evil but there are those who live in the world who choose to do harm for they have filled themselves with anger and hatred.

But if you choose to live within the power of God’s love you are no longer a victim of those who would cause you harm. This is why Jesus said, “I give you power over all your enemies and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19. In the Kingdom of God there are no victims.

The only enemies you have are the ones you choose….but if you choose to allow the Spirit of God to change your heart you have no enemies. John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not overcome it.”

Jesus knew you would have trouble first understanding this so this is why he said this,
“In the world you will have trouble…but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.

Spiritual Labels

So what do you call yourself?

Few people really like labeling themselves….because labels don’t always fit or not everyone agrees what the label means.

For example I would and have called myself a “Christian” but that label in my opinion...through the years...no longer fits as well. I have learned to let go of my Christian dogma and I find more and more others are doing the same. So can I call myself a Christian? What do I call myself? What fits?

Some would say “Why do you have to label yourself?” Good question!

I have found myself wanting to define my belief system so I can clearly communicate with you what I believe and what I teach. I am a teacher and it is hard to describe what you teach without first giving yourself a label. People want to know where you are coming from.

So I am searching for a label that best describes who I am.

I know I could call myself a “Spiritual Being” “Child of God” a “Member of the Kingdom of God” but these labels are too broad.

I decided to narrow down my labels by eliminating the ones I knew would NOT fit.
Not to exclude neither myself nor my acceptance of others but to get clear which one fits me the best. I can NOT say I am a Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Pagan, Jew or Taoist even though I may share with them some spiritual truths. But I quickly eliminated them from my list.

But what about Christian Mystic, New Thought Thinker, a New-Ager, a Spiritualist or a Meta-Physician? Then there other other labels like Light-Worker or Way Shower.

What about you? What would you call yourself? If you had to get in line behind a label… what labels best describe who you are and what you believe?

Meditation

Do you meditate and pray every day? Do you know how? What are the benefits of prayer and meditation?

For many years I did not understand how or why it was so important to learn how to pray and meditate everyday. I don’t remember anyone teaching me how to meditate. Most Christians do not know how to spend time in prayer and meditation.

I remember hearing the word meditation used in the book of Psalms but it was a mystery to me for many years. It was not until I let go my dogma that I begin to open myself up to idea. If I had learned how to meditate years ago I am sure I would have saved myself from a lot of stress, heart ache, frustration, and disharmony.

The Hebrew words for “Meditate” used in Psalms means to “murmur” as you might ponder your thoughts as you speak to yourself.

I think it is interesting the medical field uses the word “murmur” to describe an unusual sound emanating from the heart….why, because there lies a secret to meditation.

The secret of meditation is…you must get quite enough to hear what your heart is saying...that means learning how to let go of the all the noise within your head. Releasing all thoughts...notice I did not say stop thinking…why? Have you ever tried to do that? Every time you try to stop your thoughts you only create more thoughts. Instead you learn how to let go of your thinking as you begin to relax and experience the moments between the thoughts. That is when your heart will begin to speak to you.

Breathing

Here is a technique I have found that helps me to relax and get quite...the answer is your breathing!

As you set aside your time for meditation and prayer...do it when and where you will not be disturb by anything around you. Find a quite comfortable place to meditate.

As you begin to relax…focus upon your breathing as you breathe normally at a comfortable pattern...stay focused upon your breathing until your mind begins to quite down. Enjoy this quite time. The longer you do this…in time you will sense a connection to your heart, you inner being, your spiritual being and your connection to God.

Listen to what your heart is saying to you...at the same time the Spirit of God will speak and minister to you….surrender to at least five minutes and later on increase that amount of time everyday until you reach a comfortable time for you.

After you have given yourself to this time you will find it easy to pray your prayer of thanks giving…as you acknowledge your connection with God. Once you have reached that personal connection with God...that is when you make your request and affirmations for what you want. I will not go into detail about how to pray but...end all your request with the words of faith….what I mean by that is...make a statement which affirms your request as though it has already been answered...therefore give thanks.

You might want to write down anything the Spirit has spoken to you during your meditation so you will remember it. If you do this I think you will find great joy, peace and harmony through out the rest of the day.

In Psalms 49:3 it says, “My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.”

"To Know The Kingdom of God"

What does this mean?

Nicodemus perceived that God was with Jesus since he performed miracles and Jesus told Nicodemus… “Except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:3.

This is the scripture where Christian’s get the term the “Born Again” experience. But the Greek word for “Again” really means “From above, or the top” so Christians would do better to say, “Born of the Spirit from above.”

What is more important is the word “See” which in the Greek means “to Know.” Therefore know the Kingdom means to see it conceptually, to perceive its existence.

So the best translation of what Jesus said may be “Except a man be born of the Spirit he cannot know of the Kingdom of God.”

When you are born of the Spirit a shift takes place within your mind and you are introduced to an awareness of Spirit and the Kingdom of God. Until then it has no meaning.

Now there are two Greek words and two meanings for the word “Know.” The Greek word used in John 3:3 for “See” is “Eido” which means to know intellectually, factual knowledge, perceived through spiritual perception.

The other Greek word for “Know” is “Ginosko” which means to experience something first hand knowing, a knowing within. This Greek word is used in John 8:32 “…You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” This knowing is the work of higher levels of consciousness. Note the objective is to “Be Free” not to just know the truth.

This is why 1 Cor.8:1b says, “Knowledge puffeth up but Charity editieth.”

Later in the 13 chapter of Corinthians verse two it says, “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.”

In John 8:55 Jesus is speaking to the religious leaders saying, “Yet you have not known (Ginosko) him; but I know (Eido) him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like to you: but I know him, and keep his saying.” Here we find Jesus telling those who profess to know God, they really do NOT know God, they only knew about him. Ouch! This made them mad enough they tried to stone Jesus.

Jesus is clearly saying…to “know” God meant you must first have an “Eido” intellectual knowing and then have the “Ginosko” inner knowing of God which is a work of the Holy Spirit.

In 1 Cor. 2:14 it explained, “But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know (Ginosko) them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

When you are born of the Spirit the “Spiritual Being” within you is awakened. From that point on your assignment is to allow the Holy Spirit to do its work within you for it is the power of God able to give you great joy, peace and love. Transcending out of the darkness into the light…letting go of the things of this world and into the Kingdom.

Have You Been Deceived?

Take heed that you be not deceived…

In Luke 21:8 Jesus said many would come in His name…and you are not to follow after them. Then He proceeds to describe the end times.

Read verses 8-36….I will spare quoting the scripture. But I do want to point out those who are doing the deceiving are coming in His name….meaning they profess to be Christians.

When I look at Christianity sometimes I wonder if we are deceiving ourselves. We want to be spiritual and still believe in the illusion of this world. We are afraid to let go. Yes we have become our own enemy. Christians have focused upon religion, dogma, dead doctrine, and playing church thinking that this is Christianity. Knowledge alone is nothing without the power of God's love.

Jesus was very clear….His message was love. It was not based upon fear or anything motivated by fear yet I hear the church preaching fear…as though they do not know the love of God. Listen to their words…are they preaching love or fear? Fear is NOT powered from God for God is love. Fear is the absence of love.

Man has been motivated and controlled by fear and its illusion since his beginning. For all evil has been created by man’s fear; greed, lying, pride, disharmony, hatred and murder. Christians have been guilty of making these evils a part of their religion. Jesus did not teach fear or judgement. He taught us how to love.

How do you avoid this deception?

Open yourself up to all that God has for you! Are you afraid that God will ask you to do something you do not want to do….? I know I was. But when I opened myself up to the love of God and He gave me the Baptism of the Holy Spirit….it changed everything.

When Jesus was speaking to the religious leaders He said, “You do error not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.” Matt.22:29 that is why you need the Holy Spirit actively guiding your spiritual growth for it is the power of God. “He (the Holy Spirit)) will guide you into all truth.” John 16:13

This is why Jesus taught the baptism of the Holy Spirit for it is the power of God. In the Greek the word power is “Dunamis” which is where we get the word dynamite.

John the Baptist said, “He (Jesus) will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire.” Later Jesus said, “John truly baptized with water but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence....you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you." Act 1:5-8 It began on the day of Pentecost.

If you know the Spirit of God you will not be deceived for it is the power of God which is LOVE! If you are still attached to the illusion of this world you will be deceived.

In these last days it is important you listen closely to the Holy Spirit for your guidance for He will show you the things to come. John 16:13b.

To Know the Love of God

Do you know that God loves you!

I know you have heard this before…but do you understand what this means?

The God of this universe puts his arms around you and assures you that you are loved by its creator. He created you before you were born into this world.

You are special to Him for you belong to him….you are a child of God. His love is an unconditional love therefore you get to choose to accept His love or to continue to live in the illusion that you are separate from God.

It was a major leap in consciousness when I understood that God loved me. I knew it in my head but until I felt His Spirit and I opened my heart to receive His love…I did not really know the love of God and His son Jesus.

Not long after that I was filled with the Holy Spirit and I was given the power to free myself from my fear, frustrations, and loneliness. He has brought me comfort and companionship in a daily relationship with Him. Everyday I am assured that He loves me and He will never leave me.

How could I NOT receive His love? Why would I want to turn my back to the one who could give me everything I really wanted? Therefore I surrendered my life, my will and my thoughts to Him. God has NEVER let me down and He never will.

There have been times when I did NOT listen to Him and I failed myself but He has always been there to pick me up and give me the power to move on.

Where are God's Prophets Today?

In recent years I have asked, “Where are the prophets of God today?” Who are they and are they sounding the voice of God?

Today more than ever God’s people are seeking to hear the voice of God. They feel the pressures of the world around them knowing that things are about to change. God has always spoken through his prophets to give warning, direction, and comfort.

In the Old Testament the prophet Amos spoke in chapter 3 verse 7 saying, “Surely God will do nothing but he revealed his secret unto his servants the prophets.”

What do you think?

Some would say we no longer need the prophets since the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit became our personal teacher, our guide and comfort. But Eph.4:11 teaches us that Jesus gave us gifts and callings to the body of Christ to perfect us and one of them is the calling of the prophets. The prophets are to minister to us, give us knowledge, bring unity, and speak the truth in love.

God’s people have always had trouble accepting the prophets of God for they would speak the truth when we would NOT want to hear it. Therefore we have questioned their message, their creditability, lifestyles and intentions. The life of a prophet is never popular.

In the Bible the prophets would struggle with God. The prophet knew when they would speak a word of warning of the coming future…if the people listened and changed their ways...God would change the out-come leaving the prophets word in question. Read the story of Jonah.

I believe the church has pushed the prophets outside of its walls just as it has with so many others of its member due to her self-righteous judgments. There are many of God’s people un-churched today because of her judgments. But those same people still seek God for God has not forsaken them, He has loved them and he continues to speak to them.

So I ask again…

Where are the prophets? What are they saying?

Isaiah 21:6 God says, “Go set a watchman...let him declare what he sees.” The watchman stands in the watchtower looking out over the horizon to give warning to what is to come.

Just as the prophets speaks God’s word...listen to the watchman’s warnings. I believe they are alive and well today….can you hear them? Do you know who they are?

Are you ONE with God?

In John 10:30 Jesus said, “I and my Father are one.” Whoa! To say such a thing was really serious…..in the following verses the Jews wanted to kill him for saying that.

Jesus prays in John 17:22 “That they may be one even as we are one.” What did he mean by this? Did he mean in “agreement” or did he mean to be “the same.”

Romans 8:15 says we are given the “Spirit of Adoption, whereby we cry Abba Father” which in the Greek means “my very own father.” Later it says we become “Joint Heirs with Christ.” Ver.17 then is goes further verse 30 which says Jesus was “the firstborn among many brethren.” Yes this means that Jesus is our brother and he was one with God the father.

In Philippians 2:5-6 it says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Jesus Christ. Who being in the form of God thought it NOT robbery to be equal with God?”

Does this mean we too are to be equal with God? Is this possible? Are we not created in his image? Can we share the mind of God? To do so....we must raise our consciousness!

I doubt if I have convinced anyone to start calling yourself “God” but I think these scriptures are challenging us to ask, what is our relationship with God? Can you be one with God?

The reason we struggle with anything like this….we are afraid!

If we knew who we really are....then we would have to change our thinking and stop living in fear, worry, and doubt. To be one with God would require that we let go of our attachment of this world and make no excuses for acting the way we do. How are we suppose to do that?

So we continue to say we are only children of God which is a safe…since we are only innocent children and not therefore responsible for our spiritual growth or the manifesting of God's kingdom here on earth.

Man’s sin and only real sin is how we separate ourselves from GOD! It is WE who separate ourselves from God and from one another. Our egos think that is a safe place to be.

So….a man walks up to the hot dog vendor give him a twenty dollar bill and says, “Make me one with everything,” The hot dog vendor smiles and makes the man his hot dog, gives it to him. The man says, “Where is my change?” The hot dog vendor says, “Don’t you know that change comes from within?”

Unity and Consciousness

Have you ever wondered why Christians are not all in harmony when they are suppose to be born of the same Spirit?

Jesus prayed that we might be one in the spirit yet we struggle to come to agreement. Read His prayer John 17:22-23.

I will attempt to explain why we struggle to live in unity.

Here is how I would answer this….we are all born of the same Spirit of God yet we are not all on the same level of consciousness. Therefore one man’s point of view will differ from another man based upon his level of consciousness. Even in the scripture we see different levels of consciousness are expressed. For example: some Christians obey God out of fear, others surrender to God out of love. Each point of view is based upon what level of consciousness they are living at the time.

It is the work of the Holy Spirit to bring us into harmony and raise us all to higher levels of consciousness but until then we will have our differences.

Am I saying that some people are living at higher levels of consciousness than others? Yes I am. Jesus knew that mankind was not living on the same level of consciousness this is why he spoke to the multitudes in parables and to his disciples he did he best to explain their meaning. Read Matt. 13:10-11. Before his death he told the disciples the time would come when He would no longer speak to them in parables. Read John 16:25.

Jesus spoke of many mysteries but they were only mysteries to those who did NOT understand them at the time, even in John 16:12 Jesus said, "I have many this to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.” This is why it was so important that He would send the Holy Spirit for He would guide us into all truth. Read the following verse 13.

This is why the Holy Spirit has given us gifts and callings so we may use them to raise our consciousness until we all come into the unity of the faith and the full understanding of the mysteries of God. Read Eph.4:7-13 & Col.2:2.

Until then we are taught to love one another and to stop judging one another allow the Holy Spirit to teach us, each according to his or her needs.

Work in the Illusion

Are you working a job you hate?

Do you feel like you are supposed to be doing something else?

Consider this... is your current job a trap in the ‘matrix’?

What is the matrix you ask?
I assume you have not seen the movie “The Matrix”?

If not, let me try to explain….the matrix is the world of illusion. It’s what your ego knows as this physical world. It is a distortion of true reality. The ego tells you there is no God. It tells you there is only the physical therefore Spirit does not exist.

If you have been awakened or ‘born again of the Spirit’ then you are removing yourself from the matrix and you will begin to understand how the illusion of this world has enslaved you.

The Bible tells the story of how Adam and Eve were cast from the Garden of Eden and they and all mankind were forced to now live in a world that was cursed. Gen 3:17-19 it says that in this world man would have to work for his food. When they lived in the garden all there needs were met by God.

It was NOT the purpose of God that man would work a job he hated nor was he to ever worry about his survival. This happened when man separated himself from God.
Your ego has chosen to live in the illusion, work within the illusion and experience all the pain and suffering of the illusion.

Jesus came to free mankind from this curse and bring the kingdom of God into our world so we could once again walk with God and live in the Spirit but in physical form.

This is why Jesus said, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you.” Matt. 6:25-34 God knows your needs and He is able and willing to provide them for you….your work is to put your faith in Him. John 6:27-40.

I am not saying you do NOT have to work...rather your work within the kingdom is a gift from God created just for you. It will bring you great joy and satisfaction.

In the matrix everyone is taught to get an education, find a job, work that job the rest of their life so you can survive in this world then maybe you might get lucky and prosper enough to retire just before you die. This is life in the matrix.

Life in the kingdom of God is knowing God and trusting God for all your needs as you work co-creating and manifesting a prosperous world.

I heard it said that J.O.B. stood for "Just Over Broke." Your true work will not only provide all your needs but you will grow and become prosperous. Your true work is an extension of your higher self, the perfect match with your passions, strengths and talents. It is the work you were created to perform.

God, the Transformer

Why is it that the God of the Old Testament is described as a jealous or angry god?
Then in the New Testament God is expressed through Jesus as a God of mercy and love?

Did God Change?

Is He both an angry and a loving god? Maybe God has a dual nature?

I confess in my younger years I believed this. When I read both the Old and New Testament I thought God had a dual nature…..Boy was I wrong!

The truth is....God does NOT change! We change!

God does not have a dual nature…..we do!

We all have an ego (which is attached to this world) and a spirit (which is attached to God).
All jealousy, anger, pain and suffering are produced by your EGO which is defined as Edging God Out.

If God appears to have a dual nature… that only your ego’s perception of Him.

Face it, your ego separates you from God. It has caused you confusion and it obstructs your true understanding of God...for God is love, peace, and joy. Therefore it is YOU that has to transform NOT God. He is the Transformer! Only He has the power to transform YOU!

Knowing God is a life changing experience. If you have “Awakened” or as Jesus explained it, been “Born Again” (John 3:3) then you will experience radical transformation!

To “know” God is to experience and understand Him in a personal way. To “know” God is NOT just knowledge. Many religious people have a great deal of knowledge about God but do they really “Know” him?

Look at it this way. Your relationship with God is like being in a marriage. Being in a relationship with someone is a life changing experience. I can say I “know” your spouse but that is not true unless I live with them and experience a daily relationship with them like you do, correct?

If you say you know God and your life has NOT changed then I suggest you take a good look at your relationship with God. To know God is love and experience a daily relationship with Him.

Do you know the voice of God. Do you communicate with Him through spirit? Has He changed your life?

Let your soul cry out to God and the Spirit of God will set you free from all pain and suffering. He will give you love, peace and joy. “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” Rom 12:2

After the program people were standing in line to speak with me. I was elated.
It was a joy for me to see and hear people response to my message. I had people coming out of their seats – waving their hands in excitement.

The audience was small (15-20 People) but they were the perfect group, ready to hear what I had to share with them.

First consider how and why you give gifts to your children.

Do you withhold your gifts from your children?
Do you wait until they deserve their gifts?

A gift is NOT something you earn. Ask God what are my gifts? What is my mission?

God’s gift is never taken back or lost. You may lose site of your gifts or forget what they are…you may even distort or misuse them.

But when you use the gifts that God has given to you… you will find complete happiness, love, joy and peace for they are your part of the kingdom of God. “Behold the Kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:21

It is only in the giving of your gift that will benefit from it. Learn how to receive from others.

You have a mission to fill and you already have all the gifts you need to complete that mission. “For as we have many members in one body and all members have not the same office (practice.) So we be being many are one body in Christ and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us….” Rom. 12:4-6b”

Spirit would say to you, “Know who you are! Know that God is in every gift and it is He that is working through you as you exercise your gifts. Let love rule your giving of your gift and in return you will be blessed.”

How Will You Prepare For What is to Come?

I am not a “dooms day” preacher but I do know in these last days those who have NOT “awaken” or shall I say been “born again” will suffer greatly. ( Read John 3:3-8.)

May I remind you that everything you need has been prepared for you!

Preparations have been made for everyone but not everyone has chosen to awaken and therefore they will miss what is prepared for them.

God never intended that man suffer a separation from him. But we know true love can only be experienced through a “Free Will.” Therefore everyone has a choice to remember who they are, awaken, and fulfill there purpose here or not.

Preparations Made

You who are awakened be encouraged. Now that you have been empowered, through your awakening, you can now be enlightened to higher levels of consciousness.

Everything has been prepared for you. Everything you need to accomplish your mission here is available to you.

The power of God, along with all your gifts and strengths have been waiting for you to awaken and experience these blessings. To experience this is the kingdom of God here on earth.

Take a look at all the scripture that speak of God preparations for you.

This is one of my favorites: “…it is written, Eye has not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for them that love him. But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things yea the deep things of God.” 1 Cor. 2:9-10

Last Days Preparations

In these last days please understand what is about to come has to happened so we can move into the “New Heaven and the New Earth.” This has all been planned. You have sent yourself here to experience this and to help serve others as they too make this shift.

You will be called to exercise and use your gifts and strengths to minister to the needs of others and they will do the same for you.

Your awareness is vital. This is why Jesus said, “Take heed to your-selves.” He went on to say, “Watch ye therefore and pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of man.” Luke 21:36

Note the words, “accounted worthy” means to be found “fit” as an athlete would when getting ready to compete in a sport. In this case it means to be spiritually fit, ready to bear or endure what is to come.

Raise Your Awareness

How do you raise your awareness?

First and most important; to give and receive the love of God. Above all things your motivation must be Love, not knowledge, but your love for God. Your relationship with God is experienced through love, joy, and peace. If not, you will never receive and completely fulfill what God has prepared for you.

Next ask God to reveal to you what he has prepared for you. Don’t be afraid of it. The secret is your “higher self” agreed to all of this before you came to earth. Therefore God will not ask you to do anything you have not already agreed to.

“We know that all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow he also predestinated to be conformed to the image of his Son that he might be the first born among many brethren.” Rom. 8:29-30

The word “purpose” means a proposed intention. This is your secret agreement with God and those around you. Also the word “predestinated” means in front of, to limit in advance. This is how you raise your awareness, by conforming to the nature of God.

This involves allowing Spirit to change your heart, your belief system, your expectations, transforming your ego to higher levels of functioning at the same time experiencing higher levels of enlightenment.

Levels of Awareness

You and measure your level of awareness. Once you know what level you are currently functioning at you can identify the next level allow your mind, soul and spirit to move into that consciousness.

Each level brings greater freedom, satisfaction and fulfillment.

Your spiritual growth is up to you. As you surrender your ego and open heart to receive new revelations you will grow. You will never use force but the power and the love of God to motivate your growth.

Did Jesus Say…Obey My Commandments?

In the New International Version the verse John 14:15 reads, “If you love me, you will obey what I command.”

In the King James Bible that verse reads, “If you love me, keep my commandments.”

In the original Greek word “keep” (tereo) means “to guard, fulfill, hold fast, preserve.” This is the same word used in 1 Tim 5:22 “keep yourself pure.” It does not mean obey. It is my opinion that the NIV did not make a proper interpretation.

The word “keep” is an expression of Love. You preserve and fulfill His commandment because you love God. God is looking for people who love Him not someone who lives by the law…thinking that by obeying God we can please Him.

Another Greek word for “obey” is “hupakouo” which means to hear under and the has the basic meaning of listening to or placing oneself under what is heard and therefore submitting to what is heard. It implies the idea of voluntary submission.

Hebrews 5:9 reads, “and being made perfect he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.”

This is the same Greek word “hupakouo” is used for “hearken” in Acts12:13 “As Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.” meaning one who hearkens or answers a knock and opens the door.

You submit to the lordship of Jesus because you love Him. You listen and open your heart to hear his words because you love Him. I make my choice NOT because I must obey Him for fear that I will be punished, rather I submit my will to Him because I know he loves me.

Jesus never used the words “Obey God.” He did use parables to communicate a message which only our ego would understand. Then He sent the Holy Spirit to reveal to us the truth and His true nature.

Even His own disciples did not understand his message of love until after his resurrection He sent the Holy Spirit which gave them the power of God to love one another as He loved them. It is the love of God that motivates me to change not my obedience.

Jesus was tested by the religious leaders when they asked, “Which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

His message was Love the most important commandment….NOT obeying the law or the prophets.

We keep his commandments because we love God therefore we align ourselves with God and his nature. The commandments are a way of living....motivated by love. His commandments are not a "law" to be obeyed if they were that would be saying the sinner must love God against his will.

Know the love of God. Learn to love yourself and others.

What Is A Christian?

Do you know what is a Christian or what is not?

I will make it easy...if someone does NOT sound like a Christian, look like a Christian, taste or smell like a Christian then they are NOT a Christian...Right?

You may quote Jesus and say, “A tree is known by his Fruit.” Matt. 12:33

This is true...but how well do you know your trees and their fruits?

My point is...Christians are quick to judge one another. We are all quick to judge others based upon your own understanding. Often your understanding is limited or distorted.

When the spiritual leaders questioned who Jesus was He said, “You judge after the flesh (the ego mind), I judge no man” John 8:15

So how do you know if someone is a Christian?

First thing to look for....is their love. Jesus said, “By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.” John 13:35 A disciple is one who follows and understands his teacher.

If a person shows genuine love for others and they have a relationship with Jesus/ the Holy Spirit/ God then they are a Christian.

It’s that simple...or is it?

What if someone calls themselves a Christian yet they do not express genuine love for others? Then what?

This is when love and grace reign. (Romans 5:21) Are you a Christian who has trouble loving and expressing you love to other people?

The ego mind separates you from God...it is self-centered...it only loves the things of this world. A Christian must experience freedom from the ego mind.

1 John 2:15 it says, “Love not the world neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” Ouch!

There must be a transformation. This is why Jesus said, “You must be born again of the Spirit for that which is born of the flesh is flesh but that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit.” (John Chapter 3) Every day the Holy Spirit takes you through this transformation process. It is the power of God which will change your life. (Acts. 1:8, Luke 24:49)

If you are a Christian and you are not experiencing love, joy and peace...then ask for help.

Where The Streets Have No Name...

Where is this place?

Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions….” John 14:2

The word “house” in the Greek translates to “family.” And the word “mansions” in the Greek means “abode.” This is the same word used in verse 23 where Jesus says that the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit will come and make their "abode" with you.

Jesus is talking about His relationship with you!
Your relationship with the family in God's Kingdom.

Could it be some Christians have mis-interpreted what Jesus meant? Are there literal mansions in heaven in the sky? Is there a place where the streets are transparent like glass as though they were made of gold, Rev. 21:21. Or was Jesus speaking of your relationships in the Kingdom of God?

When the band U2 sings "where the streets have no name"....are they singing about the Kingdom of God? Bono said in an interview that this song was about, “Transcendence, elevation, whatever you want to call it.”

The Parable of the talents (Up-Dated Version, paraphrased)

Jesus told a parable about a rich man who was going to make trip to a far away country. Before he left he put his servants in charge of his goods.

To Chuck he gave one talent. To Bill he gave two talents. To Robert he gave five talents. Jesus forgot to mention Henry to whom the master gave ten talents.

Immediately the rich man took off on his long trip.

All of the servants wisely used their talents to make investments to make a profit. Except for Chuck, he took his one talent and hid it under the ground so it would be safe for the master’s return.

A long time later the master returned and immediately reckoned with his servants.

Bill quickly showed the master while he was gone he had increased his two talents for he now had four. Robert also was happy to inform the master that he too had increased his five talents for he now had ten. The master was pleased and he praised them saying. “You have done well. You have been good and faithful servants. I will make you rulers over many things. Enter into the joy of the lord!”

Next Chuck with a smile on his face held up his one talent and said look….. I know you are a hard businessman therefore when you gave me only one talent I was afraid to invest it so I hid it under the ground to keep it safe until you returned.” The master said…..”You did what?”

“You wicked and slothful servant (Meaning one who hesitates to avoid pain or sorrow)
The word "Wicked" in the Greek is “Poneros”; meaning hurtful, anguish, worthless, diseased, degeneracy. Mark 7:20-23 Matt 25:26

If you knew I was a hard businessman then the least you could have done was put your talent in the bank so it could have drawn interest.”

The master then took the one talent from Chuck and gave it to Robert, saying, “For everyone that has something will be given more…but he who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away from him!”

Then Henry stood quietly with his head bowed and the master said, “Henry I gave you ten talents….now what do you have?”

Henry said, “I invested my money in real estate, I bought several pieces of property and I rented them at a fair price knowing I could make a profit but hard times fell upon us, my renters lost their jobs, they could not pay their rent. I did my best to work with them but I could not keep up the payments and I lost my investment in bankruptcy. Now I have nothing.”

And the master said, “That is not true. You may have lost your investment. But you can not say you have nothing. Instead you have the respect, love and appreciation of those families to whom you rented. And that is something money can not buy therefore you too will enter into the joy of the lord with me and all who share the kingdom of God.”

What have you done with your talents?

I know talents in this parable is money but the same applies with your God given gifts and talents.

Do you know what your gifts and talent are? Or have you keep them hidden for fear that someone would not accept what you have to share?

Your Spiritual community needs for you to open up and share your talents.

Learn how to exercise your gifts. Serve one another by using your gifts and God will bless you with great Joy!

Words from God

This is more of a personal note…..

I have been giving attention to my own spiritual growth and I am experiencing leaps as I raise my levels of consciousness. It’s easier once you acquaint yourself with the levels of consciousness and you learn how to measure your growth.

I am learning how to stay in the flow and how to embrace the desires of my higher self. The freedom and joy I am experiencing is empowering.

In the last year Spirit has been speaking and revealing to me new insights.

I keep hearing the words “Community” and “Social Investing.” So I have been opening myself up to what that means.

Back in 1980 my first wife, my daughters, and I lived in Chicago for a whole year in a “Common Purse” Christian Community, called JPUSA, (Jesus People USA). http://www.jpusa.org/ So, I can relate to what that means and what it takes to be able to commit yourself to that lifestyle. I will tell you now it’s not easy but it can be extremely fruitful.

But what I hear the Spirit saying is bigger than communal living.

Community is the coming together of anyone led by the Spirit, people sharing a common vision and learning how to best serve one another where ever they live.

I do see a practical need for co-housing communities to help support one another financially and spiritually. People working together and living together in separate housing family units creating a community within itself.

Here is a video clip of a community which is living in manner I am envisioning.

To accomplish such a lifestyle requires higher levels of consciousness. To live in such a community it requires spiritual growth, tolerance, patience, willingness, and love.

Social Investing

Along with this I am hearing the words, “Social Investing.” This means to reach out and learn how to inter-act with the people around you. Make more friends. Take a personal interest in others people wants and needs.

I started out by just waving and saying “Hi” to my neighbors and the strangers I would pass by where ever I go. Out of that I have started conversations and made many new acquaintances. As a result I have made new friends.

Another example of my social investing, I now keep an extra umbrella in my car. Since I live here in Florida it is common for a rain shower to come up quickly and catch people standing in the rain. If this happens I give my extra umbrella away and buy another one.

Let me recommend a book titled, “The Golden Rule of Schmoozing” written by Aye Jaye. This book will teach you how to make people feel special.

You never know when you will cash in on your social investment. Just two days ago I was in a jam and one of my new friends was happy to do some tax work for me for free and he is a CPA.

I called another new friend who is an auto mechanic for advice and drove to my broken down car and fixed it on the spot. Wow I did not expect that.

Social Networking

In the last year I have been participating in Internet Social Networking. My favorite is Facebook.com

This Website has allowed me to contact with the over 800 people on my Facebook friends list. I personally know 85% of that list. The rest are friends of my friends.

Through this website I am able to stay in contact with all those people at once. This brought me renewed friendships, up-dated communication, and more business.

What is God-Consciousness?

Some people are afraid of the word “consciousness” since it was first made popular in America through the Eastern religions. But its meaning and application are very much a part of the teachings of Jesus.

Consciousness is a present state of being aware that you are aware of the world around you and the world within you.

Please understand not everyone is on the same level of consciousness. There are many levels. They range from earthly basic survival levels on up-ward to divine levels of awareness.

For example at the level of “Fear” one sees the world around them as unfriendly, not safe and full of danger. On a much higher level, “Love” is a forgiving, nurturing and supportive way of relating to the world.

I will go into the details of the all the levels in another posting. Right now it is important to understand what consciousness is.

In my last post I explained why Jesus did not use the word “consciousness” or “awareness.” But he did speak of it in very simple words like “knowing” which in the Greek means to “know intuitively,” in spirit not just in your mind.

“You worship and you do not know what you worship…true worshippers worship God in spirit and in truth.” John 4:22-24

Many so-called Christians go to a church and know about God but to know God is to become God-conscious. It is an intuitive connection between your spirit and the Spirit of God. It is a knowing beyond the intellect of your mind. An act of faith. An on-going spiritual experience.

When you begin to observe your actions and thoughts, that is the beginning of the God-consciousness within you. It is a level of empowerment. God’s Holy Spirit will come and dwell within you. John 14:16-17 & 16:12-13 That is when the power of God brings transformation taking you to higher and higher levels of consciousness.

"The Spirit seeks and speaks all things...the deep things of God." 1Cor. 2:10

It is the coming of God’s kingdom.

What is God's Kingdom?

Please understand that God’s Kingdom is not of this world. Jesus made that clear to Pilate when he asked Jesus if he were the king of the Jews? John 18:33-37.

When the religious leaders asked Jesus when the kingdom of God would come, he explained that man would not see it coming like an army for the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:20-21

So when Jesus taught us to pray for the coming of God’s kingdom (Luke 11:2) it was clear that this was a work that was to be done within mankind. In the book of Romans 14:17 it says that the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Therefore the coming of God’s kingdom can not be seen with your eyes but rather with your heart. For righteousness, peace and joy are found in the hearts of mankind. God's kingdom is a change of the heart, a transformation from within.

In John 3:1-8 Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be born again if he were to KNOW the kingdom of God. The King James Bible reads “see” the actual Greek is “know” which is a word that means to know intuitively.

In those days they did not use the word “awareness” or consciousness. Instead they used the word “know” or “see” to describe what must happen before the kingdom of God would be revealed.

This is why Jesus said, “God is Spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24.

In the Greek the word “worship” means to have a relationship from within. To know God is to raise your consciousness to a level of vibration that is equal to God. The word “righteousness” means to be self evident without proof or demonstration. To be one with God.

Christianity has failed to teach higher levels of consciousness. They only preach salvation and a ticket into heaven when you die. They made God and heaven a far away place.

This was not the message of Jesus. He spoke of a relationship with God through the present Holy Spirit. He taught we are to KNOW God and then be transformed into his likeness. 1 Peter 1:4 says we are to share his divine nature escaping the corruption of the world. This means when we become aware of his divine nature we can be free from all pain and suffering.

In 1 John 3:2 it says Jesus will appear when we become like him and this will happen when we purify ourselves. This means we learn to let go of our worldly minds we set ourselves apart in alignment with God. This can only be done by the Holy Spirit and for he knows exactly what must be done to raise our level of awareness.

Don't stop now, free yourself from this world and share the consciousness of God's kingdom right now here on earth.

Most people know something is coming on but they do NOT know what it is.
It is my mission to prepare as many who have eyes to see and hears to hear.

Ready for what?

Ready to prepare for the coming evolution of mankind. The coming of God's kingdom.

It is a revelation of who you are and the purposes of God in these last days.
